About Andy Fankhauser

My name is Andy Fankhauser, founder of Aqua Luxury Consulting and creator of Micro Expo My City. I help business owners, families, and professionals build stronger financial foundations, identify risks, and create strategies that protect what they've worked hard to build. What makes me unique is that I focus on resilience before growth. While many advisors focus on revenue and expansion, I help people prepare for the unexpected—illness, death, disability, business disruptions, and other challenges that can threaten their future. My approach combines business strategy, financial education, risk awareness, and relationship-building. I believe success isn't just about growth; it's about building something strong enough to withstand life's uncertainties.

Currently Working On

Micro Expo My City was created to make business networking, marketing, and community engagement more accessible and affordable for local businesses. We remove the barriers of expensive expos, memberships, and long-term commitments by providing low-cost opportunities for businesses to showcase their products and services, connect with customers, and build valuable relationships. Our mission is to strengthen local economies by helping business owners gain visibility, generate referrals, and collaborate with others in their community. We believe every business deserves a chance to be seen, supported, and celebrated, regardless of size, industry, or budget.

Andy Fankhauser

Andy Fankhauser is a CEO, founder, and steward who runs an expo company and consulting firm. His hardest-won insight: release the need to control because you're not actually in control, and be faithful instead when pursuing your dreams and ambitions.

From validating self-worth through bank account zeros to discovering that faithfulness matters more than immediate results, Andy's journey spans the tension between worldly success and spiritual stewardship. In this interview with Powerful Blueprints, Andy shares how his faith reshaped his approach to business, leadership, and measuring what truly matters. Good morning, Andy!

What is one thing you believe deeply that most people aren't saying out loud?

Andy believes people should release their need to control and focus on faithfulness instead when pursuing their dreams and goals.

Release the need to control. Because honestly, you're not in control. Be faithful instead because it'll go further when it comes to your dreams, desires, goals, and ambitions.

What belief about success turned out to be completely wrong?

Andy spent years believing he needed external validation to measure his own value, including money, position, and accolades.

That I needed someone else's validation as a measurement of my own value. The amount of money in my account, the position in a company, accolades, etc. God doesn't care about any of that. The zeros in a bank account, bottom line, etc., don't impress Him. Your value was bought at a price infinitely bigger than anything we gain in life. And the sooner that is understood, accepted, and embraced, the better.

What are you listening to lately?

Andy has consumed over 75 audiobooks in the past year, with two books on constant rotation: Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

I'm a big audio book fan. I have multiple businesses and also a family I balance the best I can so reading an actual book is a nice treat. That said, I've gone through 75+ over the last year or so and as many as I've been through, 2 books have been on rotation more than others. Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. In short, these two books have a very common thread in common (in my opinion) as that is one's discovery of one's purpose, in his or her heart, and learning the "language of the world" in their own way. I feel I'm in that same journey now.

What is your one goal for the next twelve months?

Andy's stated goal for the next twelve months is to complete six events with his expo company, making $40k minimum per event, while growing his consulting firm to lead high net worth individuals toward confidence, clarity, and courage.

One year from now, with God's grace and mercy, I'll still be here. As far as success goes, I'll be where I pictured myself being; where I manifested myself to be. I see myself being 6 events in with the expo company, making $40k minimum per event and growing in each aspect of the business. With that growing well, my consulting firm will grow as well, and I'll be leading groups of people and high net wealth individuals towards a better future, a future of confidence, clarity, and courage.

Who is the one person who fundamentally changed the way your mind works?

Andy credits Jesus Christ with fundamentally altering the framework through which he views life, shifting his focus from "How do I win?" to "How do I remain faithful while I build?"

Jesus Christ changed the way my mind works. Not simply because He inspired me, but because He fundamentally altered the framework through which I view life. Before influence comes identity. Before strategy comes purpose. Before success comes stewardship.

Christ taught me that strength and humility can coexist. That leadership is service. That suffering is not always punishment—it can be preparation. That justice belongs to God even when I desperately want vindication. That faithfulness matters more than immediate results.

As a business owner, father, and man of faith, I often think in terms of responsibility, protection, legacy, and growth. Much of that comes from viewing life through the teachings of Jesus. He shifted my focus from asking, "How do I win?" to asking, "How do I remain faithful while I build?"

His teachings influence how I handle setbacks, how I treat people, how I view money, how I approach risk, and how I define success. The world often measures success by accumulation and recognition. Christ taught me to measure it by stewardship, character, and obedience.

More than anyone else in history, Jesus changed the architecture of my thinking. He taught me that my value is not determined by my circumstances, that my purpose is bigger than my comfort, and that even when life seems unfair, I can trust that God sees what I cannot.

Many people have influenced me. Books have taught me. Mentors have guided me. Experience has refined me. But Jesus Christ is the one who changed the operating system beneath all of it.

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us, Andy.

As a business owner who has wrestled with external validation, I've learned that God doesn't care about the zeros in a bank account or corporate accolades. This shift has fundamentally changed how I approach business decisions and personal goals.

What books have had the biggest impact on Andy Fankhauser's thinking?

After consuming over 75 audiobooks in the past year, two have remained on constant rotation: Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Both books share a common thread about discovering one's purpose in the heart and learning the "language of the world" in your own way. I feel I'm on that same journey now, balancing multiple businesses and family while seeking to understand my deeper calling and how to serve others through my work.

How does Andy Fankhauser's faith influence his business leadership?

Christ fundamentally altered the framework through which I view life and business. He shifted my focus from asking "How do I win?" to asking "How do I remain faithful while I build?" His teachings influence how I handle setbacks, treat people, view money, approach risk, and define success. I've learned that leadership is service, that strength and humility can coexist, and that faithfulness matters more than immediate results. What is Andy Fankhauser's business vision for the next year?

With God's grace and mercy, I see myself completing six events with my expo company, making $40k minimum per event and growing in each aspect of the business. As that grows well, my consulting firm will expand alongside it, allowing me to lead groups of people and high net worth individuals toward a better future. My goal is to help others find confidence, clarity, and courage in their own journeys, applying the same principles of faithfulness over control that have guided my own path.

How did Andy Fankhauser overcome his need for external validation?

For years, I believed I needed someone else's validation as a measurement of my own value through money, position, and accolades. The breakthrough came when I understood that God doesn't care about any of that external stuff. The zeros in a bank account don't impress Him, and my value was bought at a price infinitely bigger than anything we gain in life. Once I understood, accepted, and embraced this truth, it freed me to focus on faithfulness and stewardship rather than chasing validation from others.

What does Andy Fankhauser mean by "release the need to control"?

As someone who runs multiple businesses and faces daily pressures to manage outcomes, I've learned that honestly, you're not in control anyway. The healthier approach is to be faithful instead because it'll go further when it comes to your dreams, desires, goals, and ambitions. This doesn't mean being passive, but rather focusing on what you can control—your faithfulness, character, and stewardship—while trusting God with the results. It's a mindset that has brought more peace and better outcomes than trying to control every variable.
